WE LOVE EXITS WITH A PURPOSE!

Columbia and the Midlands area is our home, too, and we love our community. A portion of the proceeds from sales with Simple Home Exits, LLC is used to support the following charities:

LIGHTHOUSE FOR LIFE

Lighthouse for Life is a 501c3 non-profit organization seeking to take steps against sex trafficking. We desire to see everyone joined together to put a stop to the trafficking of our loved ones around us. We also desire to provide grace and restoration to victims being rescued from trafficking. Lighthouse for Life was founded by Andrea Wind in 2014. For several years, Andrea had been a teacher but eventually decided to stay at home with her kids. One day, human trafficking was mentioned in a sermon at her church. She was surprised to hear that, not only was it happening overseas, but it was also happening right here in the United States. It was at this time that she felt God place a call on her to do something about this problem. As she began to research and learn more about human trafficking, she realized the vast need for housing and after-care programs for survivors. The name, Lighthouse for Life, was birthed from a vision that God gave Andrea of a lighthouse that was surrounded by smaller homes. People from all over were coming towards the Light and finding shelter in those homes. See the great work of Lighthouse for Life

PALMETTO PLACE CHILDREN’S SHELTER

Palmetto Place was founded in 1977 as an emergency shelter for children who needed safe haven from child abuse and neglect. Their residential home has provided services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the last 40 years and more than 7,000 children have called Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter their home. In 2016 they were able to expand their original home adding space for more children and teens who have faced abuse and neglect. They were also able to open a second location that serves the homeless teen and at-risk youth populations in Columbia and throughout Midlands. Palmetto Place now has two houses and more than 50 beds for our state’s most vulnerable children and teens. See the great work of Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter
